However, there are some films he didn’t end up making that fans still wonder how he would have handled — one of them is Abbas-Mustan’s Baazigar, the movie that turned Shah Rukh Khan into a superstar.

From the actors’ strong performances to the intense dialogues and an intense plot, the Abbas-Mustan directorial turned into a Bollywood gem. While the director duo received much acclaim for their work in the film, not many know that filmmaker Sriram Raghavan also worked on a similar script as Baazigar and even wanted to make a film on it. Known for directing films like Badlapur and Andhadhun, Raghavan, in a recent interview, recalled an anecdote from his struggling days.
